ACTIONS and INDICATIONS
It in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs for the treatment of tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It can also be used for the treatment of tuberculous meningitis and atypical mycobacterial infections.

USAGE AND DOSAGE
1.The amount of adult commonly used with other anti-tuberculosis drugs, tuberculosis, according to the weight of 15mg / kg, once a day service; or each oral 25 ~ 30mg / kg, up to 2.5g, 3 times a week; or 50mg / Kg, up to 2.5g, 2 times a week. Retreatment of tuberculosis, according to the weight of 25mg / kg, once a day, for 60 days, followed by weight 15mg / kg, once a day. Atypical mycobacterial infection, daily 15 ~ 25mg / kg, once a day service.
2.The commonly used amount of children under the age of 13 should not be applied this product; the use of children over the age of 13 is the same as adults.
ADVERSE REACTION
1.Blurred, eye pain, red-green blindness or vision loss, visual field reduction (opic neuritis is likely to occur when the body weight is 25mg/kg or more per day). The change in vision can be unilateral or bilateral.
2.The incidence is less for chills, joint swelling and pain (especially large toe, ankle, knee joint), skin joints on the surface of the diseased joints (acute gout, hyperuricemia).
3.The incidence is very few are rash, fever, joint pain and other allergic reactions; or numbness, acupuncture, burning pain or weak hands and feet (peripheral neuritis)..
CONSTRAINDICATION

PRECAUTION
1.Interference with diagnosis: taking this product can increase the measured value of blood uric acid concentration.
2.The following conditions should be used with caution: gout, optic neuritis, renal dysfunction.
3. Check during treatment:
(1) Eye, visual field, visual acuity, red and green discrimination, etc., are checked once a day before or during treatment, especially in patients with a long course of treatment and a daily dose of more than 15 mg/kg;
(2) Determination of serum uric acid, because this product can increase serum uric acid concentration, causing gout attacks. Therefore, it should be measured regularly during the course of treatment.
4.If gastrointestinal irritation occurs, ethambutol can be taken with food. One-time doses may not reach the effective blood concentration, so the daily dose of this product should be taken once.
5.When ethambutol is used alone, bacteria can rapidly develop drug resistance, so it must be combined with other anti-tuberculosis drugs. This product should be used in combination with at least one drug when it is used in patients who have received anti-tuberculosis drugs.
6.In fact that there is currently no practical method for determining blood drug concentration, the dose should be calculated based on the patient's body weight. In patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, the blood concentration of this product may increase and the half-life is prolonged. Patients with renal dysfunction need to be reduced when applied.
